My grandfather writes in the letter below that his mom got “best in flock” in the local newspaper. It is so funny to see that now that my older brother who lives in Maine has a farm with chickens and pigs. It is like he is living the Perkins legacy. We grew up as city kids so I get a kick out of my brother sowing his seeds and trying his hat at farming. He seems to really like it and his kids help some as well. The last time I went up to Maine I took this picture with their yard signs. It makes me so happy to see him living on the Perkins legacy! Hope everyone had fantastic leftovers!
