I’m currently sitting at the Juneau airport, waiting for my dad to arrive for a two week visit. I’m loving being here but still waiting for my Alaska nursing license to come through. I feel badly for them, actually. COVID has affected healthcare in all aspects and this is just an example. Their website literally says do not call us- it will delay your application. I’m just waiting for my application to get to the top of a stack.

Until then, the other new nurse practitioner, Sean and I are getting used to town and letting people know we’re here. I’m so glad my dad will be here to keep me on a schedule and to spend time with Nina. She is missing her mama Nik but is doing very well with the transition. I’ll stay patient and keep…
